End of Term options
Flexirent’s end of term and near end of term options give you the flexibility to manage your changing IT needs. Within the final six months of the agreement, Flexirent will endeavour to contact you and advise that you will shortly need to consider your options. As “Flexirenting” is a rental program, you are not buying the equipment, so you will need to choose one of the following options:
|
Swap and Save
In the last 3 months of your agreement you can upgrade to new equipment and Flexirent will waive the remaining payments. You simply return the old equipment in good working order and take out a new agreement for equal or higher value.
|
 |
Double Time Extension
After the end of the agreement, if you want to continue using the equipment, you can choose to make one more payment equal to a normal monthly payment at the end and you will double the length of your agreement.
Alternatively, you may want to keep the equipment and also take out an agreement on new equipment. If you do this one month prior to the end of the term and the new agreement will be of equal or greater value, Flexirent will waive the Extend Payment and up to one month’s rental.
|
 |
Own the Equipment
If you would like to own all or some of the equipment at the end of the agreement, you can make us an offer of any price but we have to right to accept or reject. |

| OBD2 Plug and Play |
| Start tracking in user 60 seconds with the GOTRACK Guardian range of real time GPS tracking systems. The GOTRACK Guardian range plug in a the vehicles OBD2 port. This is the same plug that is used to plug in diagnostic equipment when the vehicle is serviced. Most passenger cars and light commercial vehicles will have an OBD2 port. |
More Information
OBD 2 (On-Board Diagnostic systems) are in most cars and light trucks on the road today. During the 1970s and early 1980s manufacturers started using electronic means to control engine functions and diagnose engine problems. This was primarily to meet EPA emission standards. Through the years on-board diagnostic systems have become more sophisticated. OBD-II, a new standard introduced in the mid-'90s, provides almost complete engine control and also monitors parts of the chassis, body and accessory devices, as well as the diagnostic control network of the car
| Where can I find the DLC? |
|
| There is a FREE database of DLC locations available from ODC Clearing House. If in doubt, please check with your vehicle manufacturer or handbook.Connector (DLC)
The OBD II port's physical connector is called the Data Link Connector (DLC). It is a 16-pin plug that's usually located under the dashboard near the steering wheel the standard specifies that the connector must be within three feet of the driver). When searching for your DLC, remember that a three foot sphere around the driver is pretty large, and the port may actually be on the passenger side. . [ search ] |

| How does GOTRACK GPS Tracking Work |
| GOTRACK uses a combination of GPS and GSM technology to send real-time data to any computer with access to the internet. |
More Information
How does GOTRACK GPS Tracking Work |
GOTRACK monitors microwave signals from the orbiting satellites. These signals contain the time of transmission and the position of the satellite. GOTRACK analyses these signals and positions of the transmitting satellites to trilaterate its position. At least four signals are necessary for a good position lock using the GPS system. GOTRACK will generally lock on to 8 - 12 signals. |
|
GOTRACK then sends the analysed data via the Telstra mobile phone network to our servers. GOTRACK servers decode the analysed data providing access via our browser based portal to the vehicle. In the event that there is no mobile phone coverage, the in vehicle unit will store the data ready to upload when back in phone coverage. This means that no data is ever lost.
