How often will the GPS system track or update information?
GOTRACK™ offers a flexible range of options according to your needs. Our standard rate of update for GOTRACK My Fleet and GOTRACK Guardian Pro is Three minutes. This can be upgraded to our Turn By Turn option which also updates each time the vehicle changes direction.

The GOTRACK software is upgraded on a regular basis. This is included in your monthly service fee. Some new features may be an optional extra.

Is the installation included in your price quote?
Because we recommend our certified installers install the GPS device, we typically include this cost in your price quote as an option. The install is a very crucial part of getting the results needed for vehicle tracking data and we would recommend this be professionally installed.

What is the warranty on your equipment?
GOTRACK™ has a 2 year parts and labour warranty on all purchases. If you choose a lease rental option, the warranty period is for the duration of the rental period.

What is the length of your contract for airtime?
All GOTRACK units are subsidised to a very competitive price. The minimum contract period is 24 months

How will I be billed for airtime?
GOTRACK has two billing options; Monthly which is paid by direct debit. Invoices are sent via email. If a customer wishes to pay on invoice a surcharge of $5.00 per invoice will apply. Annual Payment a discount for annual payment plans is available.

What happens when there is no mobile coverage in the area?
Not a problem. In the event that there is no mobile phone coverage, all GOTRACK units use a store and forward system. This means that all the data is with the unit it returns back in coverage. Data is then uploaded .

GOTRACK is an extremely competitive proposition. All units are brand new and come with 24 months replacement/repair warranty. Many of our competitors will offer refurbished units with limited warranty in order to compete.

Can I always get live tracking?t
Yes, provided there is GSM coverage. If your vehicle loses GSM coverage, GOTRACK™ will continue to collect data and upload it when back in range. If you need to ensure live coverage where there is no GSM system, you'll need to purchase GOTRACK My Fleet Global ™. This is an Iridium /GSM hybrid unit.

Are there any other costs? [top
GOTRACK™ is a fixed price system. The price includes all the GSM data, mapping and software you need. Only where the unit uses the Iridium Satellite network are any other costs involved. Our Iridium plan provides an allowance of 12,000b as part of the monthly service fee. A surcharge of $9.99 per 10KB is made thereafter.

How do I know if my SPOT is working?
You will know if SPOT is working when the lights, OK and ON/OFF are blinking together, in unison.

Can I receive notifications or messages on my SPOT Messenger?

No. The SPOT Messenger is a one way communication device. SPOT notifies friends, family or an international emergency rescue coordination center with status messages based on situation and need. Ask for Help (or SPOT Assist), Alert S.O.S., Check-In/OK and Track Progress - all with the simple push of a button.

Before using your SPOT, you enter the content of these messages in an online account.

What do the green blinking lights mean?

When the lights blink in unison, the unit has a GPS fix. When they blink alternately, move a position with broader exposure to open sky. If you have had 180 degrees of open sky for 20 minutes or longer and your lights are blinking out of sync, your GPS chip may be defective.

How do I cancel my SPOT Service?

To cancel your Service Plan, you must notify SPOT in writing within thirty (30) days of the end of your Service Plan’s Term. You must email your notice of cancellation to customer service@findmespot.com and provide your name, your address and the ESN from the SPOT for which you want to cancel service (located in the battery compartment, under the battery of your SPOT). You may call our customer service center at SPOT at 1-866-OK1-SPOT (651-7768) or from outside of North America:+1 (408) 933-4518 to cancel or if you have questions. Can the unit be plugged in to an external power source?

No. The SPOT device operates with Energizer 1.5V non-rechargeable size AA lithium batteries. Any other brand of AA lithium will be rechargeable and high voltage, which will damage the unit. These are required due to this technology's unique ability to maintain a high cell volt throughout the life of the battery. Additional benefits are a larger operating temperature range, up to 8 times longer life than alkaline, an outstanding 15-year shelf life and a 30% weight reduction.

Embedding a SPOT Shared page in your WebSite using an iframe

IFrame (from "Inline Frame") is an HTML element which makes it possible to embed an HTML document inside another HTML document. The size of the IFrame can be specified in the surrounding HTML page, so that the surrounding page can already be presented in the browser while the IFrame is still being loaded. The IFrame behaves much like an inline image and the user can scroll it out of view. On the other hand, the IFrame can contain its own scroll bar, independent of the surrounding page's scroll bar. While regular frames are typically used to logically subdivide the content of one website, IFrames are more commonly used to insert content (for instance an advertisement) from another website into the current page. Simply provide the url of your SPOT shared page as the src argument to the iframe element in your html page. The outer div element centers the iframe in the middle of the page. So for the example page the following lines were added. Be sure to use your own shared page link and not the one shown in this example.

How come there are no monthly fees?

Tramigo is easy to use since any mobile phone can be used to manage your vehicle - no special handset, web site, customer help desk, or 3rd party service is needed which also means no monthly service fees are required. This makes our product cheaper to use as well. The reason we can support a normal mobile phone, the one device most consumers already own, and not require additional costly infrastructure is due to our unique strategy of building the geographic data into the product. This is not easy to do, since quality geographic data is not readily available for most countries but we have evolved efficient techniques from our experience in some of the most difficult countries and developed the data in-house. Since the vehicle location is not stored on a 3rd party server our customers also maintain their privacy - an important consideration when selecting a tracking device.

Your T22 stores your location when you enter the building and once outside and moving it will start updating your location again. The same applies to tunnels.

How many vehicles can I add?

There is no limit set to the number of vehicles you can add, however you should limit the number of incoming SMS as the modem can only handle between 10-20 concurrent SMS before it will bog down. If setting automatic find reports, then space them out to reduce load on the modem. Also used the distance find to reduce the load when Tramigo’s are not moving.
